It takes 1000 EXP to level up, however by using a combination of strong weapons, and mage souls, its possible to level up very quickly as soon as you get to Theta server by immediately going to a lvl 30 area and looking for the goblin like creatures. As i'm sure you'll notice, one of the great pinicle moments of this run are my level up runs. This run went through a lot of revisions, including a complete restart when I ended up with a run that didn't have enough virus cores to open the next area.
